What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?

What sets ABS / Thoreson McCosh apart from competitors is their commitment to delivering top-notch equipment and exceptional customer service. We prioritize after-sales support, a facet that many companies overlook, to fulfill their customers' requirements effectively and maintain long-term relationships.

 

Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?

We continuously work on new technology developments, including energy-saving solutions using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and advanced controls. We also focus on enhancing dryer design, as well as incorporating monitoring and feedback features into our blender controls for improved efficiency.

 

What are the biggest challenges facing the injection molding industry today, and how can this be overcome?

One of the significant challenges facing the injection molding industry today is managing costs. Our organizations believe that overcoming this challenge requires a broader, longer-term perspective on equipment investment and its potential payback in terms of increased productivity, energy savings, and reduced downtime.

 

How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?

Over the next five to ten years, we envision the injection molding sector putting more emphasis on sustainability and recycling. We expect to see increased efforts in collecting, sorting, and reprocessing reclaimed materials to reduce waste and promote environmental responsibility.
