AMI was founded in Bristol in 1986 as Applied Market Information Ltd, by a group of expert consultants who had decades of experience conducting market research, data reports, and providing intelligence to the global plastics industry. More than 30 years later and AMI has a portfolio of more than 50 events in Europe, America and Asia. It has successfully launched a group of exhibitions focused on plastics compounding, extrusion and recycling, which are held in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and in Essen, Germany. They attract more than 4,000 attendees at each location.

Injection World
Through its market research work, AMI has a deep understanding of plastics supply chains and extensive databases of processors. It also produces Injection World, the only magazine targeted at the global injection molding market. Published monthly, it covers developments in injection moulding machines, ancillaries, tooling, software, polymers, additives and key end-use markets. It is emailed to 36,555 subscribers and the Injection World app has been downloaded more than 25,000 times.
